Sexual Healing ~ Spiritual Relationship

My Path of Healing


I was raised by a woman who was sexually abused as a child. The damage that her unhealed wounding has caused in my own life is immeasurable. As a child, I was attuned to the underlying, unexpressed feelings and toxic secrets in the adults around me. My response to the repressed emotions was to be 'the feeler' in my family system as well as the ever-so-unpopular 'truth teller.' I was always looking for clues as to why everything was so tightly held in. I begged for answers and I was told repeatedly, "We don't talk about that." Unexpressed and unexamined wounds fester. Even though my mother is still alive, we do not speak. I know that she will never address her own wounding, and I have had to come to terms with her rejection of me. I believe that I made an agreement, as soul, to awaken to the sexual dysfunction in my mother's lineage and assist in clearing the damage for future generations. It is a thankless task, but seeing my own daughter's fabulous mothering skills has been great reward.

I began to act out sexually in my teenage years, feeling that if I couldn't get information I would just have to get experience. I detested the double standard in the small farming community I grew up in and enjoyed being the 'bad girl.' My twenties were full of sexual adventuring and exploration. My spiritual seeking started at age 12 with my interest in Edgar Cayce's teachings and the possibilities of reincarnation and karma. I also had an innate knowing that there was something magical, mystical and sacred about sex, but until I moved to Boulder in 1997, I had not even heard of Tantra. My kundalini awakening at a tantric workshop in 2000 was my initiation into this work, and the opening into deeper understanding and healing of my own issues around sexuality and the insanity from sexual wounding in my family lineages.

Background


I feel that my entire life to this point has been in preparation for this blessed work. I have devoted many years to spiritual studies, developing intuitive skills, and studying methods for empowered change. Along the path, I have come to know the intense pain and suffering of those in some very dark places. Teaching non-denominational spirituality in prisons and jails, facilitating a support group for people with AIDS and their loved ones, working with developmentally disabled adults, and serving as a volunteer hospital chaplain have all helped me develop compassion and caring for my beloved brothers and sisters. In our mutual journey of healing and emergence, I hold the capacity to see you beyond your behaviors, patterns and conditioning for who you truly are: a courageous soul, a beloved child of our creator, and a powerful and capable human being.

I'm one who experiences the traditional classroom environment as restrictive and boring, and I've chosen to gain my knowledge from the joy of living a full, unfettered life and voraciously studying the wisdom of others. My studies and trainings include Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Firewalking, aromatherapy and herbs, flower and gem essenses, mediation (conflict resolution), and compassionate communication skills. A sexual healer training I took in May of 2000 with Dr. Juliana Dahl boosted me into the creation of my practice. The most important things I feel I offer in my sessions are an open, loving heart, deep listening skills, exquisite confidentiality and non-judgmental love.
